 Manchester United 2 - 0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Manchester United bounced back from consecutive Premier League to strengthen their bid for a top-four finish.

Manchester United v Wolves

Erik ten Hag's side had lost to Brighton and West Ham to give Liverpool hope of finishing in the top 4. However, despite a far-from-perfect performance, United never looked like losing again.

Antony provided the assist for United's first-half breakthrough. He was played in by Bruno Fernandes, and the winger squared to Anthony Martial for what was an easy tap-in.

Antony had another opportunity to get on the scoresheet in the second half but he drove a shot just wide of the post after being set up by a Fernandes backheel.

Substitute Garnacho finally got Manchester United's second when the teenager raced through in the fourth minute of stoppage time before firing past Dan Bentley.

As the full-time whistle blew, everyone associated with the club was relative happy. They remain fourth and are level on 66 points with Newcastle in third.

What are the fans saying?

Kyekye Eminah commented on the YouTube highlights: "It is easy to forget the impact Garnacho had on United this season with his assists and the important goals that he's scored. We could have picked up maybe 10 more points if he and others hadn't been injured so often."

Twitter user @Heathen1878) said: "This was a strange game for us in that we scored two goals, kept a clean sheet and strengthened their place in the top four. We were comfortable throughout and dominated but were guilty of missing several fantastic chances that would have given them some breathing space long before Alejandro Garnacho struck deep in stoppage time. The stats say that we had 27 shots on goal but just nine on target, and a side with some more attacking threat than Wolves might have punished them for that wastefulness in front of goal long before Garnacho struck at the end.

"Viva Garnacho, Running down the wing, hear United sing, Viva Garnacho."

A typical end of season encounter was Wolves.

Despite that, they create a decent atmosphere at Old Trafford. Ultimately, their fans will be happy that they survived relegation and can look forward to another season in the Premier League.

This is the place for Wolves fans. Their are some great news and stories here.

Gary Thompson is a Wolves Season Ticket holder. He was in the away end at Old Trafford. Gary told us: "We played much of this game without the urgency of a side with something to play for. While there was little attacking threat for our fans to cheer, the big positive for many of our fans was the performance of goalkeeper Dan Bentley. He has a big future for us and could save us a lot of money going forward."

Frank, another Wolves fan, added: "I thought we played ok at time, but should have taken more risks. We created some decent situations and we could have finished better. In the later stages of the matches, we weren't clinical enough and United made us pay with that late second goal."
