Premier League drama

Fulham 5-3 Leicester

First up was Fulham v Leicester. The home side opened the scoring through a Willian free-kick before strikes from Carlos Vinicius and Tom Cairney raced them into a 3-0 lead at half-time.

Cairney added another in the second half before Harvey Barnes pulled a goal back for the away side, who also saw Jamie Vardy miss a penalty. Willian re-established Fulham's four-goal lead with another superb strike before Maddison netted Leicester's second with a spot-kick and Barnes scored a late third.

This was the reaction of James Maddison after the match.

He tweeted in response: "We were not good enough today and we’ve only got ourselves to blame and apologise for that. But as someone who sees the work we are doing every single day to try and put this right, it’s not down to attitude or application. We will keep going until the very end."

Brighton 1-5 Everton

Everton produced a sensational display of counter-attacking to climb out of the Premier League relegation zone with an incredible win that placed a dent in Brighton's European ambitions. You can watch the highlights in the video below.

Nathan, an Everton fan, told us: "I have not seen Everton play this way in a long time. It was such a joy to watch."

Peter, a Brighton fan, added: "That was a poor performance but I think the players were just tired after a packed schedule of matches. I just hope that we can recover and still qualify for Europe."

Nottingham Forest 4-3 Southampton

There were 14 goals in the previous two matches. Surely, the last game of the day wasn't to keep up with this pace.  Forest came out on top in a seven-goal thriller as they climbed out of the bottom three to leave Southampton on the brink of relegation. You can see some of the game's best moments in the video below.

Paul, a Forest fan, told us: We conceded some poor goals but also scored some spectacular goals. I know Gibbs-White got man of the match, but I think Danilo deserves a shoutout from his performance last night. What an incredible night."

Shane, a Southampton fan, added: "Jay: We are officially relegated in my eyes now, this summer is huge for us as we are going to get a new manager and several new players."
