UEL reaction: Man United exit Europa League
Sevilla 3 - 0 Manchester United (5-2 on aggregate)
For 80 minutes at Old Trafford last week, it was all going so well for Manchester United. Then it all fell apart.
They were put out of their misery and dumped out of the Europa League quarter-finals following a dreadful second-leg performance in defeat by Sevilla.
United were well below their best as they exited Europe with a whimper. The Spanish side were gifted the lead after eight minutes when Youssef En-Nesyri finished following an awful error from Harry Maguire, and Sevilla doubled their advantage shortly after half-time with a looping header from defender Loic Bade.
Sevilla's win was complete nine minutes from time when En-Nesyri again capitalised on a shocking mistake, this time from goalkeeper David de Gea, to complete the win.

"The players are responsible."
Richard Thomas is a Manchester United Season Ticket Holder. He was very critical of the team's performance, Richard added: "Ultimately, these players are responsible for their output. Erik ten Hag is to blame for picking them regularly. There have been many positives this season, I just hope we can complete this season with a place in next season's Champions League and avoid the Thursday night marathon."
"I'm not surprised at all at the defeat."
Adrian Seddon was in the away end in Spain. Despite being critical of the team's performance, he did have the occasional performance. Adrian added: "With all the injuries and suspensions, the Sevilla tie was always a tough ask and I'm not surprised at all at the defeat. But our so-called big players didn't do their jobs and Ten Hag is going to be rightly furious."
"That was a massive opportunity missed."
Sam Jones, a Manchester based business owner, added his thoughts: "That was a massive opportunity missed against an average Sevilla side. We were the architects of our own downfall. We have to bounce back against Brighton, get to a cup final, and also get the top four sorted. That would make tit a good season. However, it's the end for Maguire now though. He brings nervousness to his teammates and was more to blame than David de Gea."
