The video Everton 1-0 Leeds United | Match Reaction - YouTube explores some thoughts from Everton fans

Hans, an Everton fan said: "A crucial win for Everton and a very good and solid performance. We were on top of the game and kept the lively and buzzing Leeds kept very quiet. However, the journey to safety is still long. Also, what a great goal by Seamus Coleman!"

Stephen told us: "At least we can have a good weekend again, the performance didn't matter, it was all about getting the points we need to win these kinds of games happy to get out of that bottom three. Hopefully, we can keep this going next week against Aston Villa."

What are where next for Leeds United?

Leeds looked a shadow of the team that pushed Manchester United close in their previous two league games. This could prove to be a significantly damaging defeat.

Oliver, a Leeds fan from Huddersield, added: "Awful performance. I really think we'll struggle to stay up now. That was a winnable match but we didn't turn up."

Richard, another Leeds fan, added: "I don't even blame the players. This mess has been brought about by those running things at the top."

What did the managers say?

The Everton boss told the club website: “I think the all-round feel of the performance [was the most pleasing thing] because we come off a big win against Arsenal. We didn’t get the win against Liverpool — I’m learning what that means to Evertonians and to the city."

One Leeds fan replied: "So much vitriol going around. The coach sets the tactics. The tactics didn't suit Leeds' player's mentality. At least under Jesse, they were entertaining, were creating chances - just not finishing them. Eventually, they would have. But Leeds fans forced him out. Zero patience."
