Before the match, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte told BT Sport: "We have recovered Sergio Reguilon and Steven Bergwijn, he has been training but is not 100% to start the game so now he is available to come into the game.

"We have come here to win and we're playing against a really strong team. Leicester last season finished before us and won the FA Cup so we have to try our best to get three points tonight."

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers told BT Sport: "It has felt a long time. It's a big game and hopefully we can produce a good performance.

"We will always try to play how we play and look to attack the game but against top players you need to defend well. It's a great chance to start off the new year and see if we can continue from our last two performances."
