The first match had finished 0-0.

Pre match build up

Phil McNulty, a BBC Sport reporter, said: "Two strong sides fighting to face Chelsea in The Carabao Cup Final. Liverpool are still without Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, who are away at Afcon, but there is enough quality in their side and Arsenal's to suggest this will be another tight encounter following last week's goalless draw at Anfield."

This is what the Arsenal boss had to say before the match.

One Arsenal fan replied to the tweet with a simple comment: "Come on Arsenal. We can do this!"

One Liverpool fan posted his reaction to the Liverpool team news: " It’s actually not that bad. He’s gonna be the only attacking sub we can make. Jota seemed lost playing Right Wing, the last few times he’s played there. Looks a animal up top & on the left wing. Hopefully we pull it out the bag."

Another told us: "This is a big game for us tonight. It's a great chance to win a trophy that we have a great history in. I'll never forget the 2003 final against Manchester United.
