A day of drama in Scotland: 29/01

With the Premier League on a form of winter break, the Scottish Premiership took centre stage for some fans.

Let's take a closer look at what happened with the top two

Celtic 1 - 0 Dundee United

Ten man Celtic narrowed the gap on Premiership leaders Rangers to two points through Liel Abada's late goal against Dundee United. For most of the game, it looked as if  Dundee United were about to do enough to leave Celtic Park with their second draw of the season.

There were some incredible scenes in the ground as Celtic fans celebrated. They go into Wednesday's match against Rangers full of confidence.

Ross County 3 - 3 Rangers

Matthew Wright's late goal secured a 3-3 draw for Ross County against Rangers. The away side had looked destined to win after a battling performance but poor defending cost them. Watch the highlights of the match in the video below.

One of the main positives for Rangers was the performance of Amad Diallo. He recently signed on loan from Manchester United and looks to be a great temporary addition.

What happened elsewhere?

Hearts 2 - 0 Motherwell. Goals from Andy Halliday and Ellis Simms secured all three points for Hearts against Motherwell. As a result, Hearts have now opened up a ten point lead over their opponents.

Hibernian 2 - 3 Livingston. Livingston stunned Hibernian and fought back from a goal down to boost their Survival bid. The home side will be desperate to improve as they face Hearts during the week.
