The first clear opening fell to Juve as a deep corner dropped kindly for Federico Gatti, but with little time to adjust and the ball bouncing awkwardly, he could only steer his effort over the bar from close range.
Despite the miss, the moment appeared to inject some urgency into the visitors and they moved ahead midway through the first half.
The move began with a surging run from Khephren Thuram and, after reaching the edge of the area, he found Dusan Vlahovic, who took a touch to compose himself before drilling a deflected strike beyond Alberto Paleari.
The home side were much better in the second-half
Torino failed to register a shot on target before the break but emerged with greater purpose after half-time against a Juventus side who had learned during the interval that results elsewhere would deny them a top-four finish regardless of events here.
They could not find an immediate equaliser, however, and Juve doubled their advantage in the 54th minute. Vlahovic was ruthless once more, guiding a precise first-time finish across Paleari after being slipped through by Francisco Conceicao.
Torino responded on the hour mark to breathe fresh life into the contest.
Rafa Obrador’s deep corner was met by a towering header from Cesare Casadei, which drifted beyond the Juventus defence and nestled into the far corner.
Set-piece defending remained a concern for the Bianconeri throughout and they were punished again six minutes from time when Mattia Perin parried another Casadei header from a corner, only for Che Adams to hammer home the rebound on the volley.
Torino pressed hard in the closing stages in search of a winner and almost found themselves caught out when Emil Holm unleashed a powerful effort from distance, forcing Paleari into a spectacular save.
The result brought a disappointing conclusion to the season for Juventus, who must settle for fifth place and UEFA Europa League football. Torino climb above Parma into 12th and finish the campaign on a high after an impressive fightback.
