Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring after just six minutes, with Bradley Barcola doubling PSG's lead with their second shot of the game in the 14th minute.
That goal meant Chelsea needed to score 4 without reply to take the tie into extra time, effectively ended it as a contest, and substitute Senny Mayulu piled further misery on Chelsea in this last‑16 meeting.
Chelsea responded with a burst of attacking intent, with Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, Pedro Neto and Trevoh Chalobah all involved as they pressed for a way back. Yet it was Paris Saint-Germain who struck again.
After Moises Caicedo was dispossessed in midfield, PSG broke with purpose. Bradley Barcola took a fine first touch on his weaker left foot before sending a half-volley into the top corner to double the advantage.
Chelsea continued to threaten, carving out chances through Joao Pedro, Palmer and Jorrel Hato, but remained vulnerable on the counter, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Barcola repeatedly exploiting the space.
The home side were met with boos at the interval, prompting head coach Liam Rosenior to introduce academy graduate Josh Acheampong in place of Malang Sarr.
After the restart, João Pedro went close again on 56 minutes, but moments later Rosenior appeared to turn his focus elsewhere, withdrawing Palmer, Fernández and João Pedro in a triple change.
One of the substitutes, Liam Delap, forced a save from close range soon after. However, it was Senny Mayulu, just 19, who added further gloss, curling a superb effort from the edge of the box to make it three on the night and an emphatic 8-2 on aggregate.
The closing stages brought further frustration for Chelsea. Chalobah was carried off on a stretcher, leaving the hosts to finish with 10 men on a night that saw them become only the third English side to concede eight goals across a European tie.
