The Croatian took over from Thiago Motta in March, but has struggled to turn the team’s fortunes around. Under his management, the side endured an eight-match winless run, leaving them eighth in Serie A.

Sunday’s loss marked Juventus’ third consecutive defeat in all competitions.

In a statement, the club said: "The club thanks Igor Tudor and his entire staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months and wishes them all the best for their future careers."

Juventus confirmed that Massimiliano Brambilla will take charge for their Serie A match against Udinese on Wednesday.

The Old Lady sit six points behind league leaders Napoli and have not won in their last five league fixtures. In the Champions League, they are 25th in their group, having drawn twice and lost once in their opening three games.

A closer look at their season so far

The club is now facing a full-blown crisis following three successive defeats to Como, Real Madrid and Lazio, leaving them goalless for 394 minutes.

This marks their longest winless run in all competitions since 2009. After five consecutive draws across Serie A and the Champions League, they have now lost three matches in a row.

Legendary player Del Piero believes that Tudor hasn't necessarily been the biggest issue at the club. He has recently told Sky: "The coach is not the problem, it’s more complicated than that, and includes how the team has struggled to come together so far this season.”

Del Piero scored 290 goals in 705 appearances for Juventus. He also believes his former side hasn't been as bad as those results might have suggested, saying: “The team was alive and did not deserve to lose tonight, perhaps a draw was the right result. They weren’t bad against Madrid either; the problem was the performance against Como.”
