Premier League leaders Liverpool have a home tie against League Two side Accrington Stanley. The famous EFL side will be dreaming about what could be one of the greatest upsets of all time.
Speaking of potential upsets, Manchester City will host Salford City, the club part-owned by members of the 'Class of 92'. Co-owners Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes had some amazing and terrible moments against City. A win for Salford at the Etihad Stadium would potentially top any previous wins against the current Premier League champions.
Tamworth, one of just two non-league teams still in the competition, will welcome Tottenham to their home ground. They will still be celebrating their victory at Burton Albion.
The third-round matches are scheduled for the weekend of Saturday, 11 January. This marks the stage where the 44 clubs from the Premier League and Championship enter the fray. They’ll join 20 lower-league and non-league sides who battled through last weekend’s second-round fixtures.
For Tamworth, the lowest-ranked team left in the competition, the tie against Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs is a dream reward for their dramatic penalty shootout victory over League One's Burton Albion. Fellow National League side Dagenham & Redbridge will travel to face Championship side Millwall.
Other notable ties include Chelsea hosting League Two's bottom-placed Morecambe, while Bromley, another League Two struggler, will take on Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
United and Arsenal is a classic FA Cup encounter
Both of these sides have a rich history in the competition. The 1979 final between them is often regarded as one of the greatest FA Cup finals ever.
Then there was the semi-final replay in 1999 (watch in the video above) a match packed with drama. It featured a missed penalty, an offside goal, and one of the finest goals ever scored by a member of the 'Class of 92'.
They faced each other again in the 2005 final. That time, Arsenal won a penalties after a 0-0 draw.
