Luke McCowan was the star of the show for Celtic after he scored one and assisted three as five-goal Celtic stormed to a five-point lead at the Scottish Premiership summit by thrashing Ross County.

The standout performer was McCowan, who delivered the corner that allowed Liam Scales to head in powerfully at the near post. McCowan, making his first start in a month, then added a second with a deflected effort on the turn.

He continued to shine, setting up captain Callum McGregor for a stunning 20-yard strike – McGregor's sixth league goal of the season – just moments after Paulo Bernardo tapped in Celtic’s third from close range.
The first-half scoring feast was rounded off by Adam Idah, who fired home emphatically, again thanks to McCowan’s assist. With this dominant display, Celtic extended their unbeaten domestic run to 28 matches, a streak stretching back to March.
Another miserable away day for Ross County
Ross County’s season won’t be defined by losses at Celtic Park, but their potential is being seriously hampered by a dreadful run of away form.
They’ve now gone 24 league games without an away win, with their last Premiership victory on the road coming over a year ago against Kilmarnock in September 2023.

Although Celtic missed a host of chances to widen the gap in the second half, manager Don Cowie can take some comfort from his side’s resilience after the break, managing to keep a clean sheet in the second 45 minutes.
For that, they have substitute goalkeeper Ryan Hamilton to thank. Stepping in for the injured Ross Laidlaw, Hamilton made a series of excellent saves, denying Adam Idah and Alex Valle to keep the scoreline respectable.
