Full-time announcement

Chelsea cruised into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a convincing win over League Two Barrow at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea were too strong for the Bluebirds, despite manager Enzo Maresca making 11 changes to the team that defeated West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.

Chelsea 5 - 0 Barrow

Nkunku completes his hat-trick . He tackled keeper Farman and passed the ball into an empty net. To be fair, after being 3-0 down, Barrow fans probably thought it should have been 7 or 8-0.

Chelsea 4 - 0 Barrow

Two minutes after the restart, Pedro Neto scored his first Chelsea goal by tapping in after Mykhailo Mudryk's pass . Barrow fans are fearing a thrashing.

Chelsea 3 - 0 Barrow

The home side are cruising into the last 16. They got a free-kick 25 yards out. Joao Felix whipped the ball over the wall, it clipped the post before hitting goalkeeper Paul Farman and going in. It goes down as a Farman own goal

Chelsea 2 - 0 Barrow

Is that game over after only 15 minutes? It was another fine goal for Chelsea, and again it comes from Christopher Nkunku. How can Barrow get back into the match now?

Chelsea 1 - 0 Barrow

The Premier League team take the lead just eight minutes into the game, thanks to a brilliant assist from Joao Felix, who delicately lifts the ball over two Barrow defenders. Christopher Nkunku kept his eye on the ball as it drops over his shoulder, expertly controlling the volley to beat Paul Farman.

Chelsea v Barrow preview - 1

What were people saying before the match?

Lewis, a Chelsea fan from Greater Manchester, told us: "Whilst, we are strong favourites, we shouldn't take anything for granted. Cup games can often bring surprises, and lower-league sides often rise to the occasion. Barrow may not have the Premier League pedigree, but they will fight hard and could catch us off-guard if we're not fully focused.

"Our squad depth and quality should see the players through, but the beauty of cup football has always been its unpredictability. Let’s hope the Blues take the game seriously and secure a win while giving some of our many backup players a chance to shine."
