EFL: Derby County promoted
Derby County 2 - 0 Carlisle United
Derby County secured promotion to the Championship after a confident and assured final-day win against already-relegated Carlisle United at a jubilant Pride Park Stadium.
The Rams required only a draw against the division's bottom side to end their two-year stay in League One. However, Max Bird's powerful and curving shot from outside the box, which found the back of the net after just five minutes, had Derby County supporters singing and celebrating to the tune of 'we are going up'.
James Collins then sealed Paul Warne's side's promotion with a composed and close-range finish on the hour mark to complete the victory.
This marks 50-year-old Warne's fourth time leading a team to promotion from League One, having previously achieved this feat three times with Rotherham United as they alternated between the second and third tiers of English football.

Jamie, a Derby County fan, told us: The promotion back to the Championship has finally drawn a line under three years of turbulence, discontent and hope. The latter has been possible only due to the remarkable efforts of Paul Warne, his staff, and a squad of players who have forged a strong bond that has propelled the Rams forward and closed a near-devastating chapter in its history. Our owner David Clowes also deserves to be praised for his investment, level-headedness, and ability to bring success from his day-to-day property business into the boardroom at Pride Park.
"For us fans, this promotion is a reward for our unwavering loyalty towards the club. They have poured money into the club through attendance and the match-day experience, following Warne's men over land and sea to keep their foot on the gas of the promotion trail."
Chris, another Derby County fan, posted this on Facebook: "Wow, what an amazing feeling that was. We have witnessed so many awful years but now it feels like we are on the way back."

For Carlisle fans, the game marked the end of an awful season. They finished the season at the bottom of the league and they will need to do some serious rebuilding in League Two if they are to challenge for promotion back to League One.
A Carlisle United fan @danlittle565 tweeted: "Big summer needed."
@MartinBrown99 added: "The season is over. No more suffering."
