Premier League: Another bad night for Chelsea

Fulham 2 - 1 Chelsea

A fascinating Premier League match saw a Chelsea debutant get a red card and Fulham carried on their potential march to European football

Carlos Vinicius headed in a 72nd-minute winner after Portugal winger Joao Felix had been sent off on his Chelsea debut when the score was 1-1.

Willian put the hosts ahead against his former side in the first half. Kalidou Koulibaly then equalised early in the second, but Vinicius' winner saw Fulham move up to sixth in the Premier League.

For Chelsea, Joao Felix had been their best player before his dismissal left his side on the back foot. Fulham then got what was probably a deserved winner.

One Fulham fan commented on the above video: "Fulham are playing like they are in the 2008-2009 season(they earned a spot in the Europa League). If this keeps up, we might be able to see Fulham playing European football once more. It’s like I’m back in the 2000s era!"

More Fulham Reaction

Fulham boss Marco Silva told the following to the media after a memorable night at Craven Cottage: "Overall, I think it was a great night for our fans and they deserve it. Sixteen years without a win in this game, and Chelsea's superiority in these types of games has been huge. We know they have completely different goals to ourselves. They are a massive club and their budget is completely different."

What's next for Chelsea?

Ultimately, the answer to that question is who knows? Bryan, a Chelsea fan from London told us: "The support carried on singing throughout the match but there were also chants for the previous manager."
