Scotland: Celtic remain six points clear at the top

Let's have a look at the latest chapter in the race to become Scottish champions

Ross County 0 - 2 Celtic

Celtic will go into the final Old Firm game of the season six points clear of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership after a win at Ross County.

The league leaders played well in Dingwall but only had Kyogo Furuhashi's early goal, his first since December, to show for it until Jota's late second clinched a precious victory.

The triumph was enough to restore Celtic's advantage at the summit with just four games remaining, starting with what could be a decisive derby at Celtic Park next Sunday.

Malky Mackay's Ross County stay fifth in their pursuit of a first-ever European qualification after what was just their second defeat in seven games.

One Celtic fan tweeted: "Delighted that Kyogo & Jota scored, the former as it means our talisman is back & the latter as Jota's needed a goal & display like that for a while #COYBIG"

Motherwell 1 - 3 Rangers

Rangers had temporarily narrowed the gap on Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic to just three points after rallying to  victory at Motherwell.

The much-changed visitors took the lead at Fir Park when Liam Kelly palmed into his own net before Leon Balogun's red card for a lunge on Dean Cornelius turned the game in the hosts' favour.

Ross Tierney headed in a leveller seven minutes later. However, Rangers responded after the break as Scott Wright drilled in a second with James Tavernier sealing the win from the penalty spot.

One Rangers fan told us: "We're still in the race. That's all we can ask for now. WATP!"

There's a big match coming up next weekend now.
