FA Cup: Forest progress after all Championship tie

Nottingham Forest 2 -  1 Huddersfield Town

Forest came from behind to beat Championship rivals Huddersfield Town. They have set up a home FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool.

Forest 2 - 1 Huddersfield

Tom Lees' opening goal came moments after Forest's Sam Surridge thought he had scored on his first start - only to be denied by an offside flag.

Surridge's side-footed effort did draw his side level before Ryan Yates nodded home to complete the fightback. Forest have not made the last eight of the FA Cup since 1996.

Huddersfield, who have not made the quarter-finals since 1972, were on an long unbeaten run across all competitions. They had knocked out Premier League Burnley in an earlier round.

Some of the best reaction

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper told ITV4: "I thought it was a great cup tie, and I thought we had an excellent first half. We showed a great reaction [after going behind]. The second half was a proper cup tie. We should have scored a couple more."

Huddersfield Head Coach Carlos Corberán said: “We took a bit of time to adapt to the needs of the game, and they scored twice in quick succession. “The key moment of the game was Pipa’s chance. “We tried to play with two strikers in the second half and had chances, but they did too.”
