MUFC v Arsenal

It has been reported that Newcastle United have made contact with Manchester United over a possible January deal for England midfielder Jesse Lingard, 28.

Anthony Martial could also leave Manchester United in January. Everton are interested in the French forward. They could potentially face competition from Barcelona.

The Old Trafford club sees Erling Braut Haaland, Joao Felix, 22, Timo Werner, 25 and Alexander Isak as potential replacements for Edinson Cavani.

Manchester United have put Ajax manager Erik ten Haag, 51, has jumped to the top of their shortlist as the Premier League consider their options for their next permanent manager. 

Other Premier League rumours and stories

Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the situation of Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen. The 25-year Denmark centre-back is out of contract at the end of this season.

Southampton will assess injuries to Albania striker Armando Broja, 20, and former England Under-21 forward Adam Armstrong, 24, before deciding whether they need to sign another attacking option in January. 

Brighton could beat Manchester City, Liverpool and AC Milan to the signing of 18-year-old Polish midfielder Kacper Kozlowski for £8m from Pogon Szczecin. 

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Leicester City are unlikely to have funds to strengthen their squad next month.

What's being said across Europe?

Real Madrid have identified Leicester and Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, as a replacement for Brazil star Casemiro, 29. 

Juventus are set to listen to offers for Weston McKennie, Aaron Ramsey and Arthur in January. The Italian club are looking to start a huge rebuilding process. Paul Pogba has been linked with a return the club. 

Barcelona will target a move for 26-year-old Belgian midfielder Adnan Januzaj when his Real Sociedad contract expires next summer. Januzaj could potentially join Memphis Depay at Barcelona. The pair were briefly at Manchester United together. 

Paris-St Germain and Argentina forward Mauro Icardi's wife and agent are holding talks with Juventus over a potential return to Italy for the 28-year-old.

FA Cup: United win on penalties

 Manchester United 3 - 3 Coventry City Manchester United won 4-2 on penalties  United somehow progressed to the FA Cup final for the second successive season, following a dramatic semi-final victory over Coventry City. The Reds edged past the Sky Blues on penalties after a crazy and eventful 120 minutes to set up a rematch of last year's final, against Manchester City. Following goals from Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes, United appeared to be in total and complete control. Despite having a few chances, it did look like this was one match too far for Coventry. However, goals Ellis Simms and O'Hare reduced the deficit and made things very nervy for Ten Hag's side. Then in stoppage time, Haji Wright kept his nerve in stoppage time to score from the spot and send the game into extra time. Premier League: Another strange performance from Manchester United

Manchester United 1 - 1 Burnley Zeki Amdouni scored a late penalty to grab what could he a priceless point for relegation-threatened Burnley in the Premier League at Old Trafford. Despite another unconvincing display from Manchester United, they did look well set for victory thanks to Antony's well-taken 79th-minute effort. Then Burnley got a penalty  Although the referee John Brooks managed to miss the foul in real time, unlike against Wolves the video assistant referee, Peter Bankes, stepped in. Substitute Amdouni managed to send the keeper the wrong way and earn Burnley this point  This result moved Burnley to within two points of fourth-bottom Nottingham Forest, whom they play at Turf Moor on the final day of the season.  There could still be a dramatic fight for survival with Burnley, Luton and Forest all scrambling to avoid relegation to the Championship.  You can watch the highlights of the match in the video below.
