Reaction from Scotland: Rangers and Celtic both win

Rangers and Celtic both kept up their impressive league form as they both won on Sunday

Let's have a look at the reaction from both matches

Hearts 0 - 2 Rangers

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's winning league start was extended after a blistering first-half attacking display earned them a 2-0 victory at Hearts. Alfredo Morelos slotted home an early opener then Joe Aribo slammed in a quickfire second within four devastating minutes.

The Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst said: "We have to show desire every game we play. So far we are doing that, but we have to keep on going.

"We'll enjoy the win against Hearts, but tomorrow we go again for the game against St Johnstone."

One Rangers fan told us: "It was another impressive performance. We need to keep up this great form as Celtic won't give in as easily as they did last season."

Celtic 1 - 0 Mothewell

Celtic chalked off another game in their busy festive schedule with a 1-0 home win over Motherwell. Despite there being only one goal in the game, which came courtesy of Tom Rogic on the stroke of half-time, Ange Postecoglou’s side dominated in terms of their 71% possession and 26 chances created.

Ange Postecoglou told the Celtic website: “It was a good win and it was a big shift put in by the lads. They worked really hard and we had some chances which could have made the game a bit more comfortable for us, but, overall, it was an important victory for us."

A Celtic fan added: "It was another decent performance but we really need to get better at finishing these matches off. Better sides than the one we played today could punish us.
