PL reaction: Brentford 2 - 1 Watford

Let's have a look at all the reactions as Brentford scored two goals in the final 10 minutes to come from behind and deny Watford victory at the Community Stadium.

Brentford 2 - 1 Watford

Bryan Mbeumo slotted in a stoppage-time penalty to make it 2-1, minutes after captain Pontus Jansson had equalised with a header at the back post. Watford had been in the lead for an hour thanks to a header from Emmanuel Dennis.. A late surge from Brentford was eventually rewarded.

The defeat means Watford remain just three points above the relegation zone.

One Watford fan told us: "I am so annoyed, we were playing so well but we decided to sit back and that cost us in the end."

More reaction

Brentford's first goalscorer Pontus Jansson told Sky Sports: "It's not a good performance but we fought hard, we didn't give away a lot of chances so maybe a draw was a fair result, but we've been unlucky in the season and maybe luck was with us tonight."

The Brentford matchwinner Bryan Mbeumo added: "It feels so good because we worked hard. It wasn't the best performance but it was important to win. It feels so good."

This is how their official Twitter account responded.

Thoughts on Watford

One Watford fan replied to the above tweet: "Can’t put that on Ranieri tonight we had opportunities to put the game to bed and we didn’t and as alway Troost-Ekong should be nowhere near the team!"

BBC pundit Karen Carney added: "Watford were in control but backed off and weren't positive. That's a massive error here because you know they will become stronger. The two set-pieces have won them the game but they were just positive."
