World Cup Qualifying: San Marino 0-10 England

England are off to next year's World Cup in Qatar.

They have qualified for their seventh consecutive World Cup, their longest ever run of reaching successive World Cup tournaments.

Six goals in the first-half that included four from Harry Kane made the prospect of double figures possible and the England players obliged.

World Cup is now in Qatar

One fan who was in San Marino for the match has just told us: "Job done. A lovely trip and nice to see score us a few goals. Is football coming home in time for Christmas 2022?"

Watch below to see a video of the 10th goal that England scored on the night.

Harry Kane told ITV Sport: "Fantastic. It came to the last game and we were expected to win tonight but we've done a good job. Fantastic to go through."

"Every time I wear an England shirt I am proud and when I score goals it is one of the nicest feelings I can have in my career. Nice to be among those names.

"We still need to keep working. I feel like we have been improving year on year. We have to make the most of the time, every training session to fine tune the little pieces.

Elsewhere across Europe on a dramatic night

Scotland 2 - 0 Denmark

Scotland make it six wins on the bounce with a fantastic performance against Denmark. That hasn't happened since 2007 and it hasn't happened in competitive games since way back in 1930. They will be very confident that they can progress to the World Cup now and join England in Qatar.

 Northern Ireland 0 - 0 Italy

Northern Ireland have held the European champions and they probably should have won the match. They had some great chances. The result means that Italy will have to enter the play-offs and one of the best international teams of recent times might not be at the World Cup.
