 Sheffield Wednesday 2 - 1 Newcastle United League One side Sheffield Wednesday shocked the Premier League's third-placed side Newcastle United. Josh Windass scored twice in the second half for the Owls as they came out on top in a pulsating tie at Hillsborough. Substitute Bruno Guimaraes gave Newcastle hope with more than 20 minutes left with a close-range finish but they could not force an equaliser. This was the first defeat for Eddie Howe's side since 31 August against Liverpool. Nostalgia and celebration for Sheffield Wednesday Liam, a Sheffield Wednesday fan, said: "This felt like my club was back. We had some great success in the early 1990s and haven't had a lot since then aside from one season where we reached the Championship play-off final." Bury AFC 1 - 2 York City First of all. Who are Bury AFC? They are a fan-owned club representing the town of Bury in Greater Manchester. They were established in December 2019 as a phoenix of Bury FC who had been expelled from the EFL.  They have already had some success, winning the 2021–22 North West Counties Football League Division One North championship, earning promotion to the league's Premier Division for the 2022–23 season. They have started the season in decent form, progressing through a number of rounds to reach the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup. Now for the match report It was ultimately heartbreak for Bury but they did themselves proud. Chelsea 0 - 0 Liverpool (Liverpool win 6-5 on penalties) Liverpool won their second trophy of the season and they keep their quadruple dream alive After a tense 120 minutes, Liverpool triumphed on penalties. They have won the FA Cup for the first time since 2006.  Before the drama of the penalties, it was a close fairly close game for the majority, even if Liverpool did have more shots. Chelsea did have their moments.  Both sides struggled to find that finishing touch and it finished 0-0. In the end, it was won on penalties.  Liverpool quickly gained the advantage in the shootout after César Azpilicueta hit the post with the second Blues spot-kick. Sadio Mané then wasted the chance to win it earlier with a weak fifth kick. Mason Mount then missed Chelsea’s seventh kick, allowing Tsimikas to slide in the winner. FA Cup: Liverpool to face Chelsea in 2022 FA Cup final

2022 FA Cup final has been confirmed. Liverpool will face Chelsea at Wembley on the 14th of May. Let's have a look at how both teams got there. Chelsea looking to end a difficult and eventful season on a high They beat Chesterfield 5-1 at home in the third round before a narrow 2-1 win over Plymouth in the fourth round. There was then victories over Championship sides Luton and Middlesborough. In the semi-final, they faced Palace and beat their London rivals 2-0. Liverpool want to win everything For Liverpool, they had a fairly straightforward 4-1 win over Shrewsbury Town in the third round before they beat Championship side Cardiff in the fourth round. There was then narrow wins over Norwich and Nottingham Forest before that 3-2 thriller over Manchester City in the semi-final. FA Cup: Forest progress after all Championship tie

Nottingham Forest 2 -  1 Huddersfield Town Forest came from behind to beat Championship rivals Huddersfield Town. They have set up a home FA Cup quarter-final against Liverpool. Tom Lees' opening goal came moments after Forest's Sam Surridge thought he had scored on his first start - only to be denied by an offside flag. Surridge's side-footed effort did draw his side level before Ryan Yates nodded home to complete the fightback. Forest have not made the last eight of the FA Cup since 1996. Huddersfield, who have not made the quarter-finals since 1972, were on an long unbeaten run across all competitions. Crystal Palace 2 - 1 Stoke City Despite progressing in the cup, Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira told the media that his players' concentration was not good enough after seeing his side reach the quarter-finals. Jairo Riedewald scored a late winner as Palace delivered with their only two shots on target to beat the Championship team. Palace led when Jean-Philippe Mateta's deflected shot landed to Cheikhou Kouyate, who hammered the ball into the top corner from six yards out. Manchester United 1 - 1 Middlesbrough (Boro win on penalties)  Boro caused a huge shock to knock Manchester United out of the Emirates FA Cup.     United crashed out of the cup as Middlesbrough came from behind at Old Trafford. FA Cup: Man United hold on to beat Aston Villa

Manchester United 1 - 0 Aston Villa Scott McTominay's early header proved enough for Manchester United to beat Aston Villa at Old Trafford. McTominay was allowed to run into the Villa six-yard box, where he met Fred's superb cross to steer the ball past Emiliano Martinez. This meant Villa boss and former Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard faced an unhappy return to Manchester, where he was baited by the home supporters. Some have argued that the result was harsh on Gerrard and his Villa side.  VAR controversy The controversial moment of the game came with an offside and VAR decision in the second-half.  Villa put the ball in the back of the net but what followed was a lengthy wait for the video assistant referee to ask Michael Oliver to make the final decision by consulting the screen.  Kidderminster Harriers are dreaming of more giant-killing exploits after upsetting FC Halifax at Aggborough to reach the third round of the FA Cup. Kidderminster got as far as the fourth round in 2014 before losing to Sunderland and in 2004 they took Wolves to a replay in round three before being knocked out of the competition,  Their best FA Cup run came in 1994 when they defeated Birmingham City and Preston as they reached round five, they went down 1-0 at home to West Ham.
