Manchester United 4 - 1 Chelsea Manchester United confirmed their place in the top four of the Premier League after cruising past Chelsea with a 4-1 win at Old Trafford. There was a great atmosphere at Old Trafford Casemiro gave his side the perfect start with a towering header from a Christian Eriksen set-piece after just six minutes, and while the visitors provided a threat in the first half, particularly as the break drew closer. United scored a second goal at a crucial time as Anthony Martial doubled the Red Devils lead deep into stoppage time. Erik ten Hag’s side came out strongly again after the interval, dominating the play but for David De Gea being called into a couple of saves. The Theatre of Dreams turned jubilant as their side steamed ahead with two more goals later in the half. Let's take a look at some of the greatest Champions League semi-finals.  With the 2023 Champions League semi-finals just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to look back at some legendary matches at this stage of the competition.  From AC Milan to Manchester United and Didier Drogba to Zinedine Zidane, iconic clubs and players have come of age and built their modern mythology in these matches. It is expected that West Ham United will demand £100 million for midfielder Declan Rice this summer as they attempt to fight off interest from several Premier League rivals. The East London club would prefer to keep Rice, but there is an acknowledgement his situation is reaching a critical. He effectively has two years remaining on his contract at the London Stadium. Chelsea 0 - 2 Real Madrid (0-4 on aggregate) Chelsea went out of the Champions League with a whimper.  The current European champions dispatched them easily with another 2-0 victory in their quarter-final clash as Lampard failed to mastermind an almighty comeback. The home side had plenty of chances, with Marc Cucurella superbly denied by Thibaut Courtois in the closing stages of a positive first half as far as the hopeful hosts were concerned. However, it felt like only a matter of time before Carlo Ancelotti's side punished the Blues and in the 57th minute they did, as Rodrygo finished off a ruthless attack. Real Madrid 2 - 0 Chelsea Real Madrid comfortably beat Chelsea in their Champions League quarterfinal first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu in a match whose final scoreline could have easily been more emphatic.  Chelsea have appointed former manager Frank Lampard as caretaker boss until the end of the season. The 44-year-old, who is also Chelsea's record goalscorer, was previously dismissed as head coach at Stamford Bridge following 18 months in the job.  He then took charge at Everton but was sacked in January after less than a year in the role. Chelsea 2 - 2 Everton This could prove to be a very important point for Everton. Ellis Simms scored his first Everton goal to earn Sean Dyche's side a crucial point. They came from behind twice to draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Everton's improved resilience under Dyche was on show again. The 22-year-old local product Simms was the hero with a superb late equaliser to wreck Chelsea's hopes of a fourth consecutive win. Chelsea 2 - 0  Borussia Dortmund (Aggregate 2-1) It was a great night for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in what was Graham Potter's finest night as Chelsea manager. Raheem Sterling made the breakthrough after 43 minutes, firing past Dortmund keeper Alexander Meyer after initially fluffing his shot.The goal that settled the tie and overturned Dortmund's 1-0 advantage from the first leg came in contentious fashion from the penalty spot after 53 minutes.  It's time to explore another football icon Mark Hughes is a Welsh football coach and former player of many clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich. He is the manager of Bradford City. From Old Trafford and then to Barca, Bayern and back During his playing career, he operated as a forward or midfielder. He had two spells at Manchester United. His first spell at Old Trafford came between 1980 and 1986 when he won the FA Cup in 1985. In 1986, he moved to Barcelona but this time wasn't a success for Hughes. It was during this time when had a loan spell with Bayern Munich.  In 1988, he returned to Old Trafford and had a very successful 7 years. He won the FA Cup twice, the Premier League twice, League Cup and a UEFA Cup Winners Cup. He finally left in 1995. Those stories have suggested that Chelsea made the Brighton attacker a top target ahead of his Brighton contract expiring next summer.
