 It's time to explore another football icon. This time, it will be our first female player with Alex Scott. Alexandra Scott MBE is an English sports presenter, pundit, and former professional footballer. Known mainly as 'Alex Scott', she mostly played as a right-back for Arsenal. Scott made 140 appearances for the England national team and represented Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics. More Women's Football news can be found here Becoming an Arsenal legend At club level, Scott has had three separate spells with Arsenal, punctuated with a season at Birmingham City in 2004–05 and three years in the American Women's Professional Soccer with Boston Breakers.  Scott was a key figure in Arsenal's historic "Quadruple" season in which they won every trophy they were involved in.  Norway 0 - 1 Spain  Spain and Scotland have qualified from Group A and will take part in Euro 2024. With a win in Norway on Sunday, Spain secured a spot at Euro 2024, as well as helping Scotland qualify from Group A. In the second half, Barcelona midfielder Gavi scored to help the 2008 and 2012 European champions advance to the championships with two games left of qualifying.  Erling Haaland's Norway last appeared at a major tournament in Euro 2000, can now only potentially qualify through play-offs.  On the night, Spain barely allowed Manchester City striker Haaland a sniff all night long on what turned into a frustrating night for the Norwegians.  Gavi eventually fired Spain into the lead just after half-time. Let's look at some of the best moments from the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup. Yeovil Town 2 - 0 Southend United At Huish Park, Yeovil Town defeated National League side Southend United with two superb goals. After just two minutes, Glovers took the lead through a stunning strike from Jake Wannell and despite heavy pressure from their higher division opponents during the second half, they secured their progress after Jordan Young smashed home a superb goal on 67 minutes. Southend continued to pile on the pressure after Yeovil went 2-0 up. However, the backline of the home side stood firm to keep only their third clean sheet of the season. George, a Yeovil fan from Somerset, said: "What a win, I hope we get a decent draw in the next round now." On the morning after the match, the Yeovil social media account was delighted with the result and performance. They'll be hoping for a decent match in the next round and will hope to have a good FA Cup run.  Good M

England 1-0 Australia Ollie Watkins made a triumphant return to the England national team by scoring the winning goal in a friendly match against Australia at Wembley. The Aston Villa striker turned in Jack Grealish's shot from very close to the goal line just before the one-hour mark, creating one of the few bright moments in an otherwise unimpressive performance by the English team. Watkins made up for a missed opportunity in the first half when he hit the post. Australia couldn't capitalize on several chances before halftime. Birmingham City have announced the appointment of Wayne Rooney as their new manager. The 37-year-old former England captain has joined the Championship club on a three-and-a-half-year deal. He succeeds Blues head coach John Eustace, who was perhaps controversially sacked after 15 months in charge. UEFA has confirmed that the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland will host the 2028 European Championships . The joint bid was unopposed after Turkey withdrew to focus on a bid with Italy for Euro 2032, which was also confirmed at a meeting in Switzerland.  Manchester United 2 - 1 Brentford Manchester United pulled off a stunning comeback victory against Brentford at Old Trafford, with Scott McTominay emerging as the hero in stoppage time.  Initially, it seemed like Manchester United might suffer their third consecutive home league defeat for the first time since 1979, all thanks to Mathias Jensen's first-half goal. McTominay was a late substitute, coming on with only three minutes left on the clock as manager Erik ten Hag desperately searched for a lifeline. And the Scottish midfielder delivered spectacularly. He displayed impeccable control before slamming the ball into the net when Kristoffer Ajer mishandled a clearance inside his penalty area for the first goal.
